    Question 18RGEU AFM Restrictive??

I have found an 18rgeu for a good price for my daily project. I was just wondering if the standard AFM are a horrible restriction or not? I would like to free the intake side up a wee bit and make up full 2" Mandrel bent exhaust for it to breath a bit, and was wondering whether i might find the factory AFM restricting it with these basic breathing mods? Im not after a rocket ship of a car thats what the other project is for but i would like it to go as well as it can for as easy as possible and if it is going to be a restriction then ill probably have to bite the bullet and go mega squirt.
    Cheers

Compare outlet of AFM to throttle body - it (the AFM) will be smaller. Bin it and get it running on the megasquirt.

I think this is a good idea as i also have a turbo and intercooler lying round that i started thinking about last night and it would be bloody rude not to spend a day or two extra and get that all bolted up to it as well. Make a basic steam pipe low mount manifold. small front mount. Blow 6 or 7 psi into it just wake it up a bit. Would go quite well! Anyone have any idea how much boost these 18rgeu can take safely in standard form?

from what i've seen On the AFM. u can open them up and give yourself a better response by adjusting the spring tensioner 2-3 teeth.
Also a replacement AFm from a 3v...... toyota is bigger and suites the wiring of the 18rgeu. Need to confirm if its a 3vfe. i think....
