Based on a little research, the 1MZ would need 3VZ stuff to work. So the 3VZ might be the way to go. As I said though, any input on this would be very much appreciated.

As the title suggests, I'm toying with the idea of doing a conversion on an ST184. Just wondering which way to go atm. The 3S-GTE might be the simplest but if it's not too difficult/expensive I'd like to go the N/A V6 route. Just to be different. Has anyone here had any experience doing swaps like that? Any advise or thoughts on this would be appreciated very much. Cheers!

Fibrewizard has done the 3vz conv, check for his members ride.
3sgte have been done to death, and most times ive come across them for sale they arent worth more than an unmolested st184, poss due to the slap dash job and the general state of 2nd hand gen2 motors they use.
Id personally go for 1mz for less weight, but its minimal.
1mz for less weight over 3vz, and newer motor etc.
