Um should only need like 4ltrs.

Going to do black roof, bonnet and rear hatch so have to purchase black also, just going to get 3lts of black and then 2 ltrs of clear.

Hehe definitely worth be-friending spray painters.

Nah not impulse blue... i call is JZ180 blue lol

Got the rolling machine from Mark on thursday and rolled my guards. Im quite happy with how they turned out.

Once that was done got to work on finish the prep on the body for primer. Cleaned the whole car with thinners and then went about taping up the car. Much respect to derek for his help with this along with everything done of the car to date

    Paint Update

Well up at 6.30 this morning and the weather was looking a little shitty. But we decided we would spray anyway.

Setup the spraytent and once it was completely setup it worked very well.

Then we got started on the car. Here you see derek hard at work again Once again much thanks to Derek for his continual help with my POS

And derek protecting the car with his guns (paint guns)

So after 2 coats and a little sanding here is what we finished up with

Ha ha ha Love it.....I do see an engine pic there. I was under the impression that we werent meant to see the engine LOL

Good to see it coming along nicely. A question, with the guard rolling machine, it didnt cause the top of the rear quarter to want to dip in a bit? Sometimes silvias and 180's do that, so it takes time to roll them out slowly. How long did it take you to roll them?

Well this was the first time that i had used the machine so i wasnt really sure what it was capable of. Each side took me approximately 20min and there wasnt any dipping at the top of the rear quarter on my car. A mate came around and used it on his car and some dipping did occur.

What i did is actually classes as flaring. i just put more arm effort into the roller machine to get that effect.
