You use the VS connection. It is the resistive value associated with the flap opening.
ay fellas, ive got the first gen of an afc to play with and try to sort out the running rich issues, anyway its the origional variable resistor with just one knob. into the ecu there are 2 wires from the afm, one labled VC and one labled VS on the pinout, which one do i hooke the afc into? cheers

just a side note, and you probably know it anyways
it is possible that when you lean out the fuel that your ignition could advance...on a turbo motor this = teh suck! so be careful with it!
