Find complete rear-end out of an MA61, change LSD in diff to Detroit or Truetrak, upgrade brakes to suit motor/requirements, fit, done?
hey everyone,
haven't had much to do with the independent setup in ra65s or *t142 coronas.
couple questions
1. are they the same between these models? same as ma61 aswell?
2. is there anyway of making them reliable for around 300kw or would i have to put a live axle under there?
cheers

thanks for quick reply.
so ma61 rear bolts in? bulletproof axles/cvs?
with regards to centre would you change it to upgrade strength or due to the fact that the std lsd's are pos's
cheers
What car have you got Hokey?
If its ra65 then its already an F series diff, same as supra.
'FAIK driveshafts are the same, just brakes are disc instead of drum. Any F series LSD will fit.
1983 Toyota Celica Supra
yup, rather than stuff about swapping over swing arms and the diff, just bolt the hole package in (inc. handbrake cables).
it'll be 20yrs old and after some 300kw abuse, it may want to do single-leg skids or simply die a quick and mechanical death. However, it may also work fine until the day you park the car backwards into a tree at high speed.with regards to centre would you change it to upgrade strength or due to the fact that the std lsd's are pos's![]()
rt142 is same as ra65, and mx73 is a same design except wider(subframe, driveshafts and possibly control arms), unsure about ma61, all have the same diff thoe,
get slightly bigger and ventilated rotors and callipers off a ma61 or mx73, rt142 have disks but non ventilated
get used to camber wear if you go low, or make/ buy camber adjusters
get solid or polly subframe and control arm bushes will make it feel like a slot car, and get rid of some axel tramp
ma61 diffs can be shimmed up i think but probs better off getting a newie and or weld her up for the added car park death stares hahah
