Where can you dig up old parts with a number? RT132/KE70...

Hey people,

Have started working on my RT132 'Rona and going about having trouble digging up a part I need. Part Number # 53383-20040.

The part I am looking for is the weatherstrip that runs between the cowl and hood, here is the link to the part reference ToyoDIY.com

I have contacted my Local Toyota dealership and they gave me the bad news there are none availabile.

I have gone to ToyoDIY.com and dug out the part number I need, tryed Google but only got links to items that where no longer availabile from Toyotapartszone.com ; Out of interest, apparently it is the same part number used for the KE70 Corrola item?

I imagine people who have restored an Ra2x or Ke70 would have had this problem at one stage. Is there a company to turn to or do I just bite the bullet and go full custom?

If a dealer no longer has it on file, then chances are it is no longer available.

Many mods and conversions come from more common later modelsstuff

I had a feeling that would be the case, was just hoping there was some magical Toyota wonderland out there hoarding parts for enthusiasts and their projects.

Its good to dream though
