    Default 1JZ/2JZ part identification/pic?

    Hi all,

I need to get some information about this part on my ex-Aristo 2JZ before i re-install balancer etc....I have looked through Toyodiy with no luck. First pic below is from the Toyota 2JZ engine manual.

It looks to be some type of timing belt limiting tab or something, this previously dis-assembled engine did not have it, so im trying to chase it up before refitting all the external bottom end stuff...

Even a picture of a 1/2J with the balancer and bottom timing cover removed would be invaluable to see whether making something would suffice??

    Appreciate anyones help!

    Cheers!

    -Dan

Thats if you can even read the first post, there is a massive advertisement that keeps covering the text??

A couple of sheilas talking about Westfield shopping centres, stating 'Free Styling Advice'? Target marketing to Toymodders?

It is what you think, just a tag to hold the timing belt onto the pulley.
It is just a rounded oval shaped tab that holds it to the pulley just enough so it doesnt jump when you have the belt off.
I would just leave it off, it does fuckall anyway

Its not too much if you want to make sure you wont have any issues, about $4 total from Amayama

11324-46030 and 91631-60616 for the bolt (PN were with the oil pump if you want to look again - ToyoDIY.com )

Interestingly, the part numbers between the Supra and Aristo are different for whatever reason?? Supra one is $2.40, the Aristo one $8 something... Got the Aristo one, perhaps i should've also got the Supra one just in case... hmm
