    Default Which wideband?

Guys currently looking at buying a wideband for some basic tuning and monitoring.

i am trying to decide between the innovate lc-1 and the aem uego, has anyone got any positives or negatives about them?

they are both roughly the same price and use the same sensor.

i have read a few complaints about the lc-1 and some about the aem, it seems like it could just be a preference thing.

i am most interested in accuracy, i dont really care about how pretty a gauge is..

    thanks

If you are looking at the LC-1 and want accuracy, you'll need a XD16 gauge to go with it.
The other gauges (DB, Gx) are analogue and can be off by a decent margin if not wired correctly, where the XD16 is digital and always gives the precise reading.
The LC-1 is "old" now though... the MTX-L is the one to get.

I cant comment on the AEM, and others as i havent used em.

i have a aem gauge. love it. compact easy to install and use and acurate. uses a generic bosch type 02 sensor
i dont think id use it to tune under boost but does the trick for cruising and monitoring. would buy one again.

i also played around with the jaycar unit you have to build yourself. no where near as acurate, small scale and only good for idle and cruising. had it on a stock ecu and sat on and around 14.7 when ever in closed loop. would only recommend for monitoring.

I've got a few LC1's, a TechEdge 2C0 and have recently got a couple of NGK AFX controllers with the NTK sensor. I tend to get about 20,000km out of the bosch sensors on the LC1's before they get flakey and require replacement.

I've got one of the LC1's with an XD-16 gauge in my daily driver, it's OK for monitoring but not super-accurate compared to something like an Autronic wideband. I usually dial the tunes in to be close with the LC1's and then finish the fuel maps properly on the dyno with an autronic meter.

Downsides to the AFX controller are that the display is built into the box and it doesn't have a serial output. I'm replacing the LC1 in my daily with one of the AFX's.

    My 5 cents

I have a LC-1 and XD-16, works great. My tuner using a dynodynamics dyno, and an Autronic "sniffer" (which is after the cat of course), he compaired this to the xd-16's reading and it was reading within .2 to .3 to the reading of the dyno.
