Problem sorted. OEM linkage sliced & diced / tapped / hex bar with threaded ends inserted = one adjustable pull rod. . .
Not sure if anyone's come across this before but I have an issue with the pull rod on my Throttle Linkage; namely that for some reason it's too short to allow butterflies to close properly. It was like this even before I raised the linkage mechanism + Cable retainer ~ 10mm (needed in order to clear AE92 Fuel Rail).
I can't see any way to adjust this and was wondering what I should do; apart from spending more $$$ to get an adjustable one custom made . .
I jumped online to see if there was a generic threaded / adjustable unit available but have only found stuff (for a Lotus Elise) in the UK so far.

Any pics?? I will be puting blactop quads on my bigport, so any probs u have i might run into??
i have heaps of silver and black top linkages for sale just show me a pic and i will most likely have it here
Regarding the linkage - the pull rod I had was 58mm from hole to hole; it came with the S/T ITBs so I assumed it was the correct unit but when I put it all together I couldn't get the throttles to close - the rod was too short so I modified it.
Regarding problems/ issue in general; well to be honest I had a lot of hassles but then again I am running P/S and A/C and wanted to retain an OEM style Closed Air intake system for Road use, and as I was using a T3 Manifold (which mounts the ITBs upside down) I had to have adaptor plates made up to spin the ITBs around 180 to bring them back to OEM orientation which enabled me to mount a (modified) OEM S/T Plenum Box in the car, ( with the other benefit being the throttle linkage is on the top of the TBs which to me makes a lot more sense - so guess it depends;
1. Are you going to just run open trumpets + sock/sausage filter or do you want to retain an OEM closed air intake system.
2. Will you be running P/S or A/C?
I have no p/s or a/c but i do want to run the air box for the stok ecu before i go to open air trumpets, i also wil b using a t3 adapter. I did not realise the trumpets are upsidedown..
Yep; all in all not that impressed with the T3 Adapter; the standard 3mm nipples are crap too - not enough meat on them to hold a vac hose reliably - I would drill them out and put larger 5mm Barbs.
I don't know what if any clearance isues an MR2 might have but with Bigport AE92 the front Nipple is uncomfortably close to the top water bypass pipe & the vac line just squeezes in - not ideal. . .
You should also test fit the OEM S/T Plenum (if that's what you intend using) as it would not fit in the AE92 w/o modification. .
You might also need to modify (i.e. shorten) your Throttle Cable - easy enough to do; just Google it. Use an Odyssey Knarp to secure the cable when you cut off the stop at the accelerator cable (NOT THROTTLE) end
At any rate Sam @ SQ Engineering made up my Adapters and another couple of bits & pieces and should also be able to do any Sheetmetal fab work you need. . .
Hope this helps. .
Thanks heaps, i gues when the parts for the oem airbox arrives il find out... Thanks again much appreciated!!
