Street Machines set to shine at the Mountain

Mount Panorama is fast becoming a major events’ Mecca with Bathurst Regional Council announcing a new event to be staged at the facility in early 2012.

Council is set to sign a five year agreement with Springnats Pty Ltd for the staging of the Valvoline Bathurst Autofest. The festival will give Street Machine enthusiasts from Bathurst and beyond an opportunity to enjoy their passion, outside of a capital city.

Springnats currently runs similar events at Murray Bridge SA, Corowa NSW, Mount Gambier SA, and Shepparton VIC.

It’s expected the Valvoline Bathurst Autofest will prove very popular with car enthusiasts and further cement Mount Panorama’s reputation as the home of Australian motorsport.

“Council is always looking to attract new events to our region and we are very happy to partner with Springnats Pty Ltd for this exciting new festival,” said Bathurst Mayor, Paul Toole.

“This will be a different kind of event for the mountain and I’m sure it will prove to be very popular with Street Machine enthusiasts everywhere.”

Les Adams from the Springnats organisation added: “This is a major decision and a huge step forward for our sport, and shows the growing strength of Street Machining.”

Valvoline Autofest Series Update: August 2011.
Well everything is again falling into place on the lead up to this seasons Valvoline Autofest Series.
Valvoline Springnats, November 25th to 27th 2011 and again held at Shepparton Victoria kicks off the Series.
This famous event also see the debut of the all new Showcar and Streetcar category's we have developed for the Show N Shine segment of each of the series events.
Now that we finally have indoor facilities at each City we visit this will be a major advantage for those who wish to enter their Cars within the Show N Shine.
The Valvoline Springnats Show Hall is already starting to fill quickly and those wanting to be setup indoors are reminded to get their entry in shortly or risk missing out.

Also new at the Valvoline Springnats in 2011 is the Just Car Insurance Jet Car display and demonstrations, these high horsepower weapons are set to ignite all with their flame show and will also be a highlight of the Saturday night activities.
The Friday Cruise and Display is on again from 11.45am till 2.15pm and those that would like to be a part of this event are requested to contact the office email: [email protected] to have an invitation sent to them. The Friday Cruise and display will be run with the support from Shepparton Showme as well as the Global Traffic Management company that ran this event in 2009 with much success, filling the City Mall to near capacity. Sunday morning will also see the Gasoline Magazine Supercruise through the streets of Shepparton.

Next up we are over to the Mount Gambier Valvoline Autofest, South Australia on the all new date of January 28th and 29th 2012.
Team Extreme will again feature at the Mount with a couple of new Team Members that will surprise many with their weaponry and car skills.
The Just Car Magazine Car Yard will be back at all of the Series events. For those entrants wanting to sell their ride, this is the place to be. Also featuring at all Series events is the rebuilt Silver Bullet Mustang of Perry Meka.
Mount Gambier will also feature the Trident Tyres Burnout Masters as well as the Cockys AutoPro Showcar and Streetcar Masters.

Then we are off to the Mighty Mount Panorama Circuit at Bathurst NSW for the inaugural Bathurst Valvoline Autofest set down for March 17th and 18th 2012. With entry's and interest in this event coming in from far and wide the 350 limit is going to fill quickly.
So if you're thinking of entering you would be well advised to get your entry in sooner rather than later.
The Mount Panorama Pit Complex will be the home for the Showcar Masters and an All New Burnout Pad is being laid just for us to play on so it will be an all out assault to see who will be the inaugural "Kings" and "Queens" of the Mountain.

All roads lead to the World renowned Mount Panorama Racing Circuit, Bathurst NSW during the weekend of March 17th and 18th 2012 for the inaugural annual running of the Bathurst Valvoline Autofest.

Organisers of the highly successful Valvoline Autofest Car Festivals have scheduled yet another high-octane event and expect large crowds from across the country to come see the cars fly at Mount Panorama.

The Bathurst Valvoline Autofest will be held in and around the month of March over the next 5 years and will feature events such as Go To Whoa, Autokana, Dyno Comp, Indoor and Outdoor Show N Shine, Trade Displays and everyone's favorite, the all Mighty Burnout Competition.

Team Extreme will be making a New South Wales appearance and are sure to excite all with their awesome supercharged weapons in a traditional Ford V Holden Showdown.

A variety of entertainment is on offer with rides for the kids, merchandise and trade displays. The event is alcohol free, fully catered and is an affordable family day out.

Organiser, Di Adams said that the response since the first announcement of the Bathurst Car Festival event had exceeded her expectations.

“We have received entries from most State's of Australia and the Bathurst Regional Council and local Bathurst community groups have been fantastic to work with”.

Organisers said they anticipated the weekend of horsepower to quickly become one of the most exciting Motor Sport events in New South Wales.

Events such as the Valvoline Autofest play an important role in regional economies through boosting spend on retail and accommodation.”

A multi media advertising campaign promoting Bathurst Valvoline Autofest will commence shortly, with a focus on TV and Radio in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

Adult: $30, Family: $60, Under 15: $10. Weekend passes are available for: Adult: $50 and Family $100. Student concession with a Valid ID is available for $10 per day.
