G series torsen lsd

Hey guys, I have myself a torsen g series lsd in my soarer that i bought of some guy. Is there a way (an easy way) to tighten these up to stop the single spinning around corners myself or is it a shop job or is it just cough up and get a 2 way?

To the best of my knowledge you can't adjust a torsen in anyway.
They also never wear out, they just break.
I'm guessing you have a genuine Toyota JZA70 torsen, which is known to be fairly average (from memory).

Are you 100% sure its a torsen? (have you taken the cover off an looked?)

Yeah i pulled the back off the housing the other day, doesnt appear to be any clutch plates in there, just spider gears through the little windows.

open centers have spider gears inside , are you sure its not an open diff

Hmmm its hard to see without pulling the center right out, there is only small 10mmx10mm windows to see, maybe 4 of them, it does dualie just not all 100% of the time. Both wheels spin the same way even with some1 else holding the other one. Might just re-weld my old open haha.

I thought torsen spun the opposite way like a single spinner? Sound more like a very sad single spinner that is on its way out.

I know my torsen (detriot truetrak version) spins the same way like a clutch LSD does

factory torsen spin opposite just like open center . i agree , sounds like a open wheeler or clapped out clutch pack lsd

Who knows :/ thats what i get for buying an "lsd" off a forum, the guy didnt even want to give it to me after i paid him in the first place.
Does anyone have pictures of the clutch pack type? Would be quite handy me thinks. Thanks everyone for your input

Thanks madmont, i think yoy just cleared the air for me, it looks identical to the pictures, maybe a maxxgrip kit and an uprated spring would do the trick?
