what were the ignition issues ignition issues?
Not for sure, but I think it has to due with the wiring. Really need to make a new harness for the standalone.Originally Posted by Cameron_Datto

now that this has turned into a twinscrew thread
is there any reason why the SC manufacturers don't recommend the use of an electric clutch?
given that the problem of overheating on cruise has been acknowledged... why not turn it off during cruise?

No reason for a clutch what so ever with the Twinscrew. The design is critical to the overall performance and life of the Twinscrew.Originally Posted by oldcorollas

I'm impressed!
Certainly makes the SC12 look like the supercharger that can't! heh.
I'm quite concerned now about what people have said about them overheating on cruise... especially since I don't know what has been done with my GZE in the rolla, as far as ABV mod is concerned, or other things.. Because I'm not entirely sure.
totally agree.. however... if it's not spinning... it can't overheat at cruise..... simple safety factor by removalOriginally Posted by RonRob

Thanks guys! This is the thread that encouraged me in regards to how robust the 4agze really is.
I have never seen the Twinscrew overheat at cruise and do not know where these facts come from. I suppose an improper design could cause this or something similar. I have blown blowers on flawed designs, mainly due to a lack of support for properly setting up the Twinscrew. Just the countrary, I have very low outlet temps while cruising. I have recorded temps on the outlet at 265F during hot days at hard 21psi runs. 10 seconds after these runs the outlet temps drop 100F!
Setup proplery these Screws Blow!

Damn... this thread certainly did take a turn to something else!! I'm going to have to spilt it apart now!!
...... butt scratcher?!
I only just found this thread!!!!!! Awesome work ron!
Thanks and it has been sometime since I have posted but I can say with confidence that the kit will be available May/June. Here are some pics of the new design with Bigger Blower.
This is our free flowing Inlet Manifold design that has the attatchment for the bypass valve.
A few more. Everything has been made out of aluminum with exception to the Bracket which is the only protoype left to make out of aluminum.
This is the pic of the Outlet that connects to the 2 stage Bracket for ease of install.
Here is the Upgraded Throttle body and Bypass valve.
Notice how we are utilizing the stock Toyota 4agze Tps
Please note the bracket will be made of Billet Aluminum and the protoype is still being used for testing.
