yeah its bypassing the park/neutral switch...
at least thats what i think youve done...
you shouldnt really need an extra relay in there for it...
but to make it easy
run the starter wire from the ignition to the selector switch on the gearbox
run the output from the selector switch on the gearbox to pin 86
leave the rest of your wiring as is
probably suggest not hooking NSW wire up to anything on the ecu side just yet or splice it into the starter wire before it gets to the gearbox
sorry i edited my post after you quoted it see revised suggestion above
and yes selector switch just completes the circuit so doesnt matter which side goes in and which comes out
Sorry mate, I'm not 100% clear with that...
Is the below correct? I'm guessing when you say NSW you mean switched power from the automatic transmission Park/Neutral switch?
How are the engine ECU NSW and STA pins wired?
Also any reason you don't just wire it as per the factory wiring (images above)
Cheers
Wilbo
with the diagram I drew. the NSW part labeled is the trans switch located at the transmission.
ECU wiring:
STA is connected to the return wire from the trans switch.
NSW is connected to the NSW wire in the 22pin 7m plug in the body which is also continuous with pin 10 (starting power to the neutral start switch) on sqaure body plug?
I had it wired as per factory wiring until i was told to run a relay? It should work the same I had it wired before which I thought was correct?
