Default RA2x Series, Where to find Genuine Parts?

I have recently located through toyota brand new indicator lenses for my ra28. They cost me.....12 dollars each
I went to pick them up and the gurl said that the second one that was comming from japan was no longer available...so im stuck with one brand new lense..and one crappy one. Does anyone know where i can pick up one of these lenses (passenger side fender) so i can make them even? Ive heard other countries have them still in stock..but where do i start?
I spose this thread is also about finding other genuine body parts like window seals, chrome, shit like that. I know it is out there...and only very few people have access to it. Would anyone be willing to chuck in a post to help out?

    Hi,

It depends exactly what bits you're after. Some bits like certain badges and internal trim are not available anymore. Parts, such as front/rear bumpers and panels which get damaged in car accidents are now out of stock. You can always try wrecking yards for some bits or putting in a request for a part in these forums.

Also you need to check eBay or Yahoo Japan to find some bits. However, as these cars age, you'll find less and less parts and those that are available are commanding higher and higher prices.

I've found some Toyota Dealers to be pretty poor and others to really good. My local Toyota Dealer has an "import specialist" who is able to scour all the Toyota factories around the world and get me bits for my car. However, should a bit be not in stock and not being produced, then there is nothing they can do. When this happens (and it often does) I have to scan the web and car yards myself to find what I need.

Internal carpet and car rubbers are made/sold by 3rd party compaines for the RA/TA series Celicas and you can still get these.

I bought some clear front indicator lenses a couple of months ago. There were only a few left in Australia, but there may be more in Japan Toyota. Furthermore, I got a set of under-bumper amber lenses for my front indicators a few months ago. Although these were not in stock they are still produced and I had to wait for a set to be made. I would assume (though not 100% certain) that the clear lenses could be produced upon request also. I got my lenses through my local Toyota Dealer.

I have found Dave at Sleeka Spares in Adelaide to be very helpful in procuring new bits for my RA23.

PM me for his email address.

Steve, drop me an email, with a list of what you want. I will check the spare parts boxes for you. I have a ten year collection of Toyota bits, mainly ' 72 to' 77 Celica's.

    cheers Chuck

I may be wrong on this but I think RT 104 Corona ones may be the same.
    Yes?
    No?
    Cheers Brett.

    Yes?
    No?
    No, they are smaller.
But i think the RT104 side indicators would look better than the normal larger RA2x items.
