Noone know? Must be an AE86 owner out there than can measure up his/her Sway bar for me?
Simon
Im after a good heavy sway bar with a hump in the front to get around the front sump setup. I have heard AE86 ones are a good option. If anyone has a heavy aftermarket AE86 one can the measure for me how far out the bulge in the sway bar is(A) and how wide it is (B)

Any help would be really appreciated.
Failing this does anyone know of a company that makes decent custom ones?
Cheers

There are some measurements for a custom KE70 one here -
DX corolla KE70 custom front sway bar | Trade Me
I don't think it sold and was used with a 1G-GTE so could be suitable for you. Advert also says it was made by Chamberlains in Christchurch so worth contacting them too.

Thanks Callum i will contact them!

How about a picture of an ae68 bar in an RA2X.
Man the underside of it looks dirty :S
stidnam
Thats what im after stidnam. Can you please take the measurements i have asked for so i can see if this will clear the 1gz sump. Even just measure how far it steps forward for me cos the width looks more than adequate!
Cheers Guys

Talk to Sheepers as well, think his bar was custom but based off an AE86 one?
Callum
That step forward from the inner most point of the front, measured down the angle to the outer point of where it makes the bend is approximately 100mm. I took a rough measurement of it on the weekend when I saw the car, after remembering this thread. Just rough though!!
Either way you should be able to use it along with the picture showing where the bar is in relation to the castor rod bracket.
Keep in mind that the the forward in the bar angles down when the wheels are on the ground. I'll look for a picture from the side to show where the bar sits height wise. Not sure if I have one though.
No such luck. Got no pictures from the side.
