    Question Kill Switch In My RA65

    Hey ppls,

    Has anyone made there kill switch for there car? If so what components did you need to get as i'm thinking about putting one in my car.

    If all you want is a discreet one for the ign then some wire,terminals and a switch is all you need.Just fit the switch and run the power wire for the coil through the switch.
    However if you mean the CAMS type that shuts off all power then thats probably a job for a leco as you need to fiddle with the alt wiring as well.

    kill switches are easy just break into whatever circuit you want to use to dissable the car using a switch and some wire and a relay a simple 4 pin circuit closing relay will do it but yeah if you want something more elaborate go to an auto elec

    I was going to put the kill switch on the fuel pump. i have been told i need a diode protected relay with gold terminals so you don't get "Back emf" Does this sound correct??

    ahh yeah it would be a good idea to use a diode protected relay i thought you would just be using it for a different circuit to be honest i didnt even know an ra65 was efi (LOL!)
