does it have camber adjustment at the arms?, maybe you have uneven camber
I use to have these rims on my old cressids and while they are pretty close on the front, they fitted without any contact.
I pulled them out on Saturday and put them on my new cressida and it all looked good, 'till I drove it. 3 wheels ran clear and fine, but the front left started rubbing after 100m and wont stop.
After pulling off the rim this morning, the lip of the rim is rubbing the shock and the tyre is rubbing under the bottom of the bit the spring sits on. When I pulled of the other side, there was no rubbing at all.
Is the front left bent? Maybe it's taken a knock to the stub axel and it's bent up a bit.
Any suggestion people?

Camber won't affect the problem he has.
Most likely scenario is what you've said, bent axle or bent strut.
Would take a fair bit of effort to bend one though!

I thought about alignment/camber but I figure the wheel and the strut would be set together as a unit. What about worn out wheel bearings? Only just occurred to me, so I'll jack it up tomorrow and give it a wiggle. If that's not it, then it has to be bent. I've had these on my old Cressida and the other side fits fine...
