have you used the search button yet? have a search cuz i reckon it's been covered before![]()
really, all you need is the 2T-T50 bellhousing,
the flywheel,
pressure plate,
clutch plate,
slave cylinder,
master cylinder,
clutch thrust fork,
thrust bearing,
tailshaft,
and as for the pedal, i'm not sure if you need a TA22 manual pedal box or whether they are all the same and you simply put the clutch pedal in?
i think you'll have to change the centre console as well![]()
beer me!
you might have fiddle with the carby or change it too, as it'll have a cable mechanism from the auto on it.![]()
oh, and you'll need the manual gearbox crossmember.
beer me!
mate i have all the parts i need, i was just hoping for someone to write up a rough guide on how to actually perform the conversion.
ie step 1
blah blah blah etc etc
but thanks anyway
1) rip out old auto box which is associated to the devil
2) insert new gearbox with all clutch stuff assembled rightly
3) put pedal/pedal box in and hook up all hydraulic clutch stuff
4) sort any little problems that have popped up
and ur done.
all info on changing clutches or gearboxes has been covered, you just have to make it specific to your car...

Punctuation is the difference between 'I helped my Uncle Jack off his horse' and 'I helped my uncle jack off his horse.'
to make it easier, loosen the engine mounts and tilt the motor back, and use a block of wood or something to keep it there. it'll make it easier to take the auto out and put the manual in.![]()
beer me!
thanks for the tip.
even better though
if anyone in sydney is willing to help me change from auto to manual for a case of beer and pertrol money that would be great.![]()
pretty please

Don't forget to insert a spigot bearing (goes in the end of the crank shaft and supports the drive that goes into the gearbox).
Make sure the pivot for the clutch pedal is solid since if you just rely on the thin metal it will fatigue and crack.
Good luck

for anybody interested, tomorrow i am putting the manual in my car.
I will be writing up a detailed guide with pictures. If it helps someone then it will be worthwhile.
and thanks to craig
Also make sure you use the manual flywheel bolts also as the auto flex plate bolts are shorter.Id love to give you a hand with it but im quite a few 100k's away might be a bit costly![]()
Cheers Brett.
ONLY a few hundred k's.
thats a poor excuse if ever ive heard one.
anyways thanks for the tip. Again thanks to craig for the manual flywheel
Yeah that stretch of water gets a bit cold this time of year![]()
