    Default TA22 boot well replacement

    G'day all,

My current spare wheel/boot well has rusted through, and instead of having it cut out, with metal plate welded over, was wandering if anyone had done anything differently to keep the wheel well ie. have people just welded in replacement wells found on another vehicle, or made their own?

Woud like to keep the well if possible.

    Cheers

Exact same thing with my TA22,

Uploaded with ImageShack.us. How bad is yours? I was just going to cut out the circular bottom of the well and fabricate a circular piece of steel and mig weld it in and prime and paint the whole boot with rubber deadener paint.

Mines is much worse, as in can see a lot of the ground before!
Im having a friend cut out some other rust, as its beyond me, may suggest this option to him and see what he says, or whether its too much effort

Had another look this morning, was pretty bad, could almost put my fist through in some areas, and felt like i could rip the whole thing out by hand...have opted to just to cut it out, have a plate welded over, and the will bolt a space saver the back of the plate from underneath the - will post pics when available
