Default Dismantilng exhaust housing on Garrett turbo?

Guys I need a hand, Ive got the exhaust housing off my turbo so I can get it HPC coated but I cant get the wastegate flappy thing off (great technical terms there!) its attached to the pin which goes through the housing to the link arm, but its all one piece. Any suggestions? Doesnt look like theres a circlip there, want to avoid cutting it out and rewelding at all costs.

I'm pretty sure I got mine coated with the internal wastegate still attached to the housing. Speak to the coating company and see what they suggest.

thanks Leeroy. I rang them up and the lady I spoke to said it needed to be completely dismantled. Maybe I will just drop it off and see what they say after looking at it. Surely it wouldnt be the first time they've come across this... I hope!

    there's your prob....LOL

but hah, she's prob just relaying a msg or misunderstood and thought you were talking about an external gate or something. there's no way to remove the internal gate short of removing the weld

Well im certainly not one to assume that because she is female she doesnt have a clue :-P But yeah I did think it was going to require some cutting to get it out which I did not want to do! I'll send the housing in as it is and see what they can do with the wastegate still there.
