yep

it's 'straight line' themed but a complete streeter, has a heater, neat new black retrimmed interior, new carpets, full of sound deadoning (pulled out the tar stuff and replaced with foil/foam stuff) etc etc...

4 link shortened hilux, mini tubs, coilover rear, cage, bla bla bla.... it's Craigs from Extreme Custom Engineering, it's taken us (mostly him) a bit over a year to build from a sandblasted shell... Bosman tyres is next to him you've probly seen a gemmie in there when you go to Roys (i've seen your car there a bit)...

belive it or not it is legal to put a 2500cc turbo engine in there, it's all legitimately mod plated (everything! it was a very expensive day for him!).... if you have seen craigs work before you would know that he is an absolute artist, and nothing ever leaves unless it is 100% perfect and correct his workmanship is flawless and second to none, Mod plating it was actually a breeze... although it has had extensive floor and firewall modifications, everything we have done is as if it was factory... not just hack holes and cut sections of floor out to be replaced with sheet metal... anyway, i will make a thread on this when i can get some good photo's together... hopefully this weekend we will take it somewhere for some snaps

LOL... there is nothing really illegal or dogey about it, thats the main reason it's 100% legal... has all the required additional modifications to suppliment the crazy engine transplant, and seriously when you see the quality of this car in real life you will see why there is no dramas with it, and even has a heater/demister system

(12v marine heater and ducting) the mod plate guy actually complimented all the work and said 'mate if only all conversions were done like this!'

and plus it's only a 2.5L turbo... ppl have been putting 4ZE1's turbo charged into them for years (2.6 rodeo engine), and look at all the RA23-28 1jz conversions, it's on the limit but it's 100% legal...

it's not like half tha cars around with conversions that are just absolutley butchered, bastardised, hanging and wedged in there
