Facebook group: 'Celica Car Club Brisbane'. Join for chats, pride-spurts and cruises

A few celica fan mates of mine and myself have put together a facebook group to have a local community, celica-based 'hub' to organising cruises, events and sharing stories and wisdom for all celicas around the south-east Queensland region.

We have 2 gen 4's and a gen 5 member already added, with a gen 1 mate of mine whom will join shortly. Out of the 4 we already have two aftermarket implants, a gen 2 3sge and 1 caldina 3sgte conversion with updates and wisdom to share.

If your keen on monthly meetups, or drop of the hat weekend cruises or photoshoots etc, then come on down! They don't have to be shiny (mines oxidized, has zip ties on the air dam and rust), heck it can even run on 3 cylinders, we would love your company. Its about the pride and history, a group of enthusiasts.

I own an RA40 (2nd gen) Celica. But I live on the Sunshine Coast. I'd love to make meetings but Brisbane is too far for me. I'd be interested if you have anything to do with the Sunshine Coast.

No worries. I went to the pre 80's all jap day they ran about 4 months ago. It was a nice morning out. Its all Free as well.

That is really what I'm getting at - you guys already have a club there and sure, it needs kick up the arse to update and get moving again, but why start something new when half the work is already done for you?!

easiest would be to hit up Harry's Diner on a Thursday night and talk Toyotas perhaps? Thursday nights are Import night, cuz Friday nights is classics and hotrods (mainly 60s american).

The pics i've seen on Boost Cruisin is that it's an ok night with alot of different stuff from old skool all the way thru to show cars and new release stuff. I've tried to run a club once before (lowriders) and it's pretty difficult, but if it's just a weekly no obligation meet up then it tends to flourish more.

Else occasional dyno or cruise event would be cool, i know how difficult it is to organise tho'
