Turbo beanies and heat wrapped manifold and dump pipe durasticly reduce temps, other then that all i could add would be a bonnet vent.
Hi guys,
what can i do to lower under bonnet temps on my mx83 cressida? i l know you can raise the rear of the bonnet to get some of the heat out.
Some other ways i read when searching...Ceramic coating, heat wrap, turbo heat shield
Any other ideas?

88 gz20 soarer built 1ggte gt30/40 osgiken twin plate j160 gearbox.
refit factory under-tray if no longer there - allows air going thru the radiator (and thus engine bay) to have a cleaner/better exit path.
ceramic coat in and out-sides of exhaust-side piping/housings.
Raising the rear of the bonnet can have a negative effect on the cooling ability of the radiator.
It also means you will be getting super hot air into the cabin at low speeds in summer.
Heat shielding the turbo and dump pipe is the best idea, HPC won't do as much as a decent heat shield (looks better though!).
Fit a decent cold air intake (ie, no engine bay air getting to the filter), and thats pretty much all you need.

Remove any layers of sound deader from the underside of the bonnet to allow the heat to soak into the metal and radiate off into the cooler air above.

i heat wrapped from my lower dump, right threw the front pipe to the cat, it works pretty well to keep the heat in the pipe.
