Default 2jz-ge ma61 conversion, brake booster vacuum problem

Everytime I hook up the vacuum line from the plenum to the brake booster the car dies..

I noticed that on the plenum, right underneath the brake booster vacuum port, then is another tube that is also giving suction

I know that there is normally an electronic device hooked up it with a 3 plug connector, but I am missing that electronic device. I am assuming that it is some sort of important airflow sender?

Is it what's causing the car to die?

Has anyone else done a 2jz-ge ma61 engine conversion?
Or perhaps some sort of 80's toyota?

If so, I would really like some detailed pictures of where all the vacuum hoses go. I have read the vacuum diagram on the net, but it is for a California spec engine, and because I am a noob to jz engines, I can't really tell what I have and don't have in the diagram.

    Thanks guys.

It looks like you're missing the MAP sensor (MAP stands for Manifold Absolute Pressure).

It's a very critical sensor. You need it!

You can read more about MAP sensors here.

Have you got a one way valve in line with the booster and its vac source??

Also your booster could be leaking, especially proving evident in absence of the one way valve.
