what do you mean by having the basic unit?
the best way to avoid a heap of issues is to change the whole crossmember
Have read much of forum discussion regarding R&P issues.I'm trying 2 swap to R&P for my RT134 Corona.Hqave basic unit w/boots.Need inner&outer tie rods from AE86(I think) & brackets to mount to crossmember.Does this sound like I'm on right track? Can provide pics if would help

would the whole cross-member, LCAs, rack, etc from something like an RA65/SA63 fit? Apart from possibly camber (if the strut tower angle is different), you'd have all the right geometry from the start. And extra camber isn't a huge thing to deal with unless it end up massively positive.
Measure between the mount bolts on the existing member (that go up thru the chassis rails) and go from there.
or alternatively measure between the pivots for the lower control arms, I have a ST141 corona crossmember sitting here, I can compare it for you
Thanks for your replys guys. Didn't excplain very well.Try again.Got basic rack with boots for guy who had 2.No crossmeber,no mounting brackets. He told me I'd need inner and outer tie rod ends from AE86.Still don't know where to procure brackets and if specific crossmember to AE86 WOULD BE HELPFUL.He says what I'm looking to have center of inner tie rod pivot ball to be on center9or in line) with lower control arm bolt. This way they travel on the same arc.If they do this you won't have toe changes as LCA moves thru it's travel. He further states"don't get parts just yet. You'll need to be sure about a few things.
1)The taper on your stock arms( where outer tie rods bolt to it.)Toyota made a few tapers.I'm thinking it should work fine and you'll know right away when they press in nicely.
2)Measure the spacing between your LCA bolts from center to center. This is critical for planning the rest.
+1 change crossmember.
Nissan xmembers are cheap and have the complete rack attached.
Generally can bolt some cool motors to them too lol
Thanks for tip will go to local boneyard and do some measuring.
