two questions - with pics

hey guys,

ive been cleaning up the intake on my 4agze that came with an ae92 i bought

can someone tell me what this is attached to the throttle body?

whatever it is at the end of the pipes has ford stamped on it which adds to the confusion



also, im pretty sure this next pic is a water temp sensor, but could someone confirm for me. It wasnt connected to the loom, so im wondering if I should wire it up

the first pic is a falcon idle air control motor, which on a falcon is used to bypass air at idle. in your case it may be used as a idle air control or to bypass boost at idle being that its a supercharged engine so its not making boost with the throttle closed. second pic looks like a knock sensor

1 - Idle speed controller. 4AGZE's use a slightly unusual 3 wire idle speed valve. So swapping it with something simple and easy to find from a Ford is not uncommon when an aftermarket ECU is fitted.

2 - Knock sensor. Not used if you are running an aftermarket ECU (unless it's really fancy and can adjust timing based on knock).

So nothing to worry about... unless it's still running the factory computer.
