    Default 3VZFE on 1MZ electrics

I've been thinking a little about a 3VZFE in RWD as a daily driver. Anyone input on my logic would be good.

Both are 3L, both run near identical cam profiles and identical intake manifolds. I'm thinking about converting the 3VZ to a 1MZ crank trigger so I can run the factory MZ ecu...

I don't see it being an issue, but you'll probably need to run some form of basic piggyback to tweak the fuel in parts.
As no doubt compression will be different, so that will affect fuel requirements.

I presume you'll have to run the 1MZ injectors and ignition (assuming they are different to 3VZ)?
Likewise may have to look into the ISCV and see if that is different.

Cool, whole kit would be swapped over. If it needs a piggy back, I may as well run a megasquirt as stand alone. 10.5:1 vs 9.6:1 - so shaved head to match these up. So the 1MZ ecu should provide extra fuel over a 3VZ ecu I guess.

Any reason to not just run the 1MZ motor? They seem to be getting cheap.

I want a really simple bolt in swap, factory ECU, no custom bellhousing or holes in the block for the starter. I've got a tig, so not modding the bell is probably just lazy I guess, but it would be a good feat. I'm just keen to hear if anyone thinks this will work or not. I'm of the opinion because factory Toyota ecus used VE tables that it'll work out how much fuel mix fairly accurately based on the engine vacuum developed and the comp ratio won't be a problem, less vacuum less air.
