....would prefer not to run when I don't have wets and i have never been up the hill before.....probably not a good mix if the red mist descends.......if they have one later in the year when there is a possible chance of warmth or sunshine then I'll give it a blast ...i'll cya there on Sunday though.

    today was good
i beat my personal best time
it was too cold to snow , although it tried hard .
matty met the armco on his first run but luckily not to much damage was done
adam went well in the ever reliable de` tomato breaking the 30 sec barrier , unlike matty who tried to break the armco barrier
jamie in his corolla wagon did well also ,i haven't got the times , i hope some one else recorded them , along with some piccy's
the weather was freezing but the rain held off most of the day
we had 3 runs in relative dry conditions ,
a few brave souls had a fourth run in the wet, but would have almost recorded there slowest time on that one

Yep happy days for me... did a 29.88 so that's as fast as I have been up there. Was fun in the last run in the wet too, even though it was slow.

Ian as always impressed in the shitter.. just whacks the times out without even breaking a sweat!

Rob and Michael looked to have fun in the soarer.. and Jamie won his class in the corolla wagon. Well done!

Matt had fun too I suspect, even with the battle scars... good to see him having a crack so early on in his motorsport career!!

    So to some photos

As has been said it was a good day bar the coldness of the day & the weather change for the worse later on ..

Matt did very well for his first run ever at Rob Roy, he nearly broke the 30 second bracket on his first run, pity as has been said about his second run, but was good to see him get back on the horse so to speak & have another go, promising times ahead ..

Yeah I noticed the centre caps on that Escort.. weirdness in the extreme, especially as they were held on with self drilling/tapping screws!

the rest of the car looked quite good
its a wonder that it passed scrutineering , as the holes he drilled would lead to the wheel developing a crack between the hole he drilled and the wheel nut holes
one of the reasons to not fit hub caps while competing apart from the falling off factor, is that you can see if your nuts are loose
talking of that . mine are just starting to descend again , they were that cold

scrutineering is not that tough out there... i got through with my battery starter pack sitting behind the back seat.... matt got through with floor mats down, loose change in the dash, something else in the door map pocket... but the stress free environment they create is part of the appeal of rob roy
