Headgasket is a piece of cake (if needed).
Clutch is a pain in the butt.
Drivetrain is good for 3-400,000 km with decent maintenance and a few repairs.
Hi all,
New on the forum but have a few questions that can hopefully be answered.
Okay so on the weekend I picked up an AE95 (AWD Corolla Wagon) for the amazing price of $5.
Previous owners had since '94. The radiator cracked on them and their mechanic said to not bother putting money into it.
So here are my questions:
1) how hard is the clutch to replace?
2) how many kilometers is the drivetrain good for?
3) how likely is it that I've blown a head gasket? Or cracked a head:s
Thanks!
Nat.

clutch is a 9 hour(what the book pays) job!!!
To do the clutch in an AE95 you need to drop the drivetrain down, and then you need to lift the eng/trans up and unbolt it, then pop it off the dowels, rotate about 30 degrees to clear the diff from the block
