Default Fault codes on Autronic Sm4 Computer ..

    Hi,

I was doing a bit of tidying up under the bonnet of the new toy & now it wont start !! .. i have re-checked what i have done & all looks good, no wires were cut or anything just repositioning some bits & pieces, it actually has started for a very short time a couple of times since but i turned it off ( i think ) but then would not restart has injection pulse & fuel pump runs, has power to coil packs, but has no spark, except for the short times it ran ( running commodore coil packs, 4 wires ) its getting fault codes 43 & by the looks of it 23 or 33, not sure on the last fault code because as soon as you turn the key on the light illuminates straight away & then flashes, so its probably a 33 fault code .. i have disconnected the battery a couple of times but as soon as i reconnect it & turn on the ignition ( without cranking ) the same fault codes are there ..

Has been running up to date without fault, its a manual 2jzgte VVTI motor ..

I have googled fault codes but could not find the specific codes i'm getting, ( found another google site on the Autronic but i can't download the info ) ..

Hope some one can help with the fault codes i'm getting .

    Regards ..

    Rob ..

Correct on that quess Dave, i dropped by your house with it a couple of weeks ago but you were not home ..

Can you shed any light on my issue ..

I'm just thinking, the cam position wires have been replaced by the previous owner, but were hanging in the breeze, i have zip tied them together, maybe getting interference now ?? i will seperate them tomorrow & try it .. Its about the only thing i did to the wiring ..

    Regards ..

Ah yes that does sound like the issue , Has shielded wire been used that has the shield earthed at the ECU wnd only . Bummer i not home , i would of loved a look at Micks handywork .

From memory i'm pretty sure they aren't shielded wires ..

Well it doesn't appear to be an issue with the shielding of the wires, removed zip ties, still doesn't run !!

Swapped over cam sensors no good, checked continuity of wires for the cam sensor, wires ok ..

Can't clear the codes on ECU either, disconnect the battery for a while, re-connect & still has the same codes stored ..

Will give Autronic a ring tomorrow, hopefully they will shed some light on things ??

There is a european autronic forum that deals in technical issues.

What are the codes it is throwing? I learnt to make sure the resistance is low and quality grounds are used.
