oh, crap... that's really not good in a car that new (& expensive), that in theory is designed for a bit of punishment.

Yes, well, in breaking news I may have to bring the IS-F. The new driveshafts I got (from ebay, so serves me right in a way) don't fit . The splines are about 4mm bigger in diameter than the factory units (32mm vs 28mm). WTF man.
I know the hubs are right, theyre genuine toyota and fit the old driveshafts fine. Grrr

True I guess. Shits me though, this is what I bought the GT4 for. Anyway, the ebay seller is in Auburn and is apparently a CV joint shop, so I havent given up yet

Yeah, theyve admitted theyre wrong (these are 32mm dia and 32 splines, the correct ones are 26.5mm dia and 26 splines) , just waiting to see if they have the right ones in stock now. Pain in the arse, I fitted both sides and didnt realise until I tried to put the hub assembly on

But some camry ones fit....I have camry shafts off a v6 camry on my GT4, all that needed doing was removing the old gearbox spline of the celica driveshafts and put them on the camry driveshafts.

Rona: I'd question the better suspension than me, and i also have decent tyres, but the rest is right, so 1:13s is your goal (or something like that)

Aren't you worried about flat spotting the tyres under brakes though?

My suspension is rubbish and my tyres are nexen rubbish. I was running 1.16s last time but I'm turning up the boost this time so hopefully I can give Nath a challenge (all driveshaft issues getting solved thiat is)

Lol I have Aragosta Coilovers with inverted dampers that are worth $4.5k fair to say they should be better then the stuff in your car. You do have swaybars though? My suspension with a proper alignment should be awesome, atm because it is a bit of trial and error it may not be ideal but it is far from shit.

I still have ABS unless I find the fuse and pull it, not sure what else it effects though.

Do you think it would solve it??

I'm keen to see how your wagon does Rona, should be a fairly stout machine.

I am particularly keen to see the handling balance of it on the track, whether it will demonstrate the totally woeful understeer that seems to plague the ST185s
