So I've bought a car equipped with an adaptronic and it's in desperate need of a tune, fuel economy is horrific and I smell like petrol for a few hours after driving the car. I'd estimate it uses 2-3x as much fuel as my factory ecu car with the same engine.
thanks.

C-Red will be tuning mine. One of the beautiful things about the adaptronic is the 'self tune' capacity. I'd be getting an o2 sensor connected to it pronto (Innovate wideband would be my pick), and letting it do its light load tuning itself...should only need dyno time for heavy-load and maybe some transitional stuff! Even then, it'll do heavy load itself if you're game, it did a surprisingly good job on my 1G...
Out of interest, what motor are you using? There's probably a decent basemap around if it's fairly standard...
-RM
It's another a61 with a 1u. Did you get a laptop and some software and tinker with it yourself?
Really? So that's three UZ powered ma61s in perth! What are the specs on yours?
I'll be getting mine tuned soon, and theres a couple of other perth guys I know of with adaptronic'd UZs too.
PS: put up a build thread! Where abouts are you located? Bringing it to midvale day?
FYI: With non-functioning o2 sensors I get about 15L/100km, adaptronic should see 10-11.
It's jesse's old car. Midvale? depends if the car is off the road or not.
So Rudi just told meI thought that had an autronic?
Well, there you gojust looked, it did say adaptronic
back to English class for me!
