www.toyodiy.com .. use them for part numbers and shiz.. if youve got time on your hands you can even have a gander thru the cars and years and see if you can find it.. i for one have never seen that
I am building a Hotrod; a chopped 34 Ford 3 window coupe using a 1 UZFE from a Celsior. this engine has a filter housing that locates the filter pointing out at a 45 degree angle slightly forward presumably to avoid crossmember in the original vehicle. In my application it points it directly on to the left hand chassis rail with 40mm clearance at the filter mounting flange.
I understand earlier versions of this engine use a remote filter mount with a pair of pipes from the filter housing to the filter locating the filter at the rear of the engine, is this so (and are they still available) or is a housing that bolts to the block with AN or similar fittings available? I do not want a device that spins on in place of the original filter unless as a last resort. I am unfamiliar with Toyota performance parts sellers so if you are one and looking at this thread or know of any websites that would be handy it would be very helpful.
Cheers
Rob

nostalgia is not what it used to be:
Unless you can get the UZS131 one as in madmonts post i dont think any of the other factory filter mounts will work if you have such little space there
The Soarer one might come close? [edit]as per Ians post above
If you do have to go remote mount another option is this adaptor plate from Bullet, and any ebay jap car remote mount kit
