    Default 5M-E/Crown Starting dilemma

    Hi guys,

Still having no luck with the MS112. I first thought it was the fuel pump, but later investigation has ruled that out.
It is not getting spark. When cranking over with the plug out it would spark once then nothing at all. I changed the distributor cap because it was pretty much buggered, and that did not fix the issue, changed the coil and still the same dilemma. Changed the ballast resistor, and have now just gone out and purchased another ignitor from a wreckers.
Now im not getting any spark. I am unsure of whether I have put all the right wires in the right places when i put the new ignitor on. Is anyone able to post up a picture of the ignitor setup? does anyone else have any idea on what could be causing it? Rotor button is fine, leads are all good, and plugs seem to be good.

    Cheers,

Guys this is how ive wired it up

And it has no spark out the coil, tried numerous coils also. Can you spot anything wrong with this?

The yellow wire (in your diagram) from the coil- to the ballast seems wrong, would explain why you don't have a spark.

    Generic wiring below.

Disconnect it (tape it up) and try it.

So I removed the wire (the yellow one). It sparks now, once or twice then just cuts out. So now I've replaced the coil again ( I have 3 coils and 3 ignitors) and have been mixing and matching. Nothing. Where to now?
