Takes around 5L ish including a filter change mate. (On both mine at least, ones a little under 5 and the other is just over 5)
Do you have a mechanical gauge you can hook up?
Also make sure the oil pressure light wiring can't short on anything.
I recently bought another 1uz powered car and it has what looks like an oiling problem. The dipstick says it's full but the oil light comes on when braking or turning.
You don't even have to be stopping or turning very hard.
how many liters is a 1uz supposed to hold anyway?
Thanks.

I'll try ignoring the dipstick and putting 5L in there and see how that works out.
sounds like the oil pressure light wire is earthed somewhere it shouldn't be
rubbed through - burnt through
maybe even a faulty oil switch
best to check the oil pressure first with a master / mechanical gauge before you seize the motor though
would be a waste of a good 1uz

assembly is just the opposite of disassembly - just you swear in different spots!
The dipstick was wrong it had less than 2L of oil in there. Seems ok now
2l of oil
good to see you found the drama

Was about to suggest that you make sure you have the right dipstick.
New ones are not that expensive.
