Default 7MGTE in GA70 no go...

    Hi All,
As the title suggest I am chasing any help to get my M converted GA supra to go.
    I bought it unfinished.

It will crank but it has not even coughed, i have no sparks and no FP.

I am starting to think i have a dud ECU but i would like to confirm this somehow.

These are the things i have checked:
I have voltage at the STA, NSW, Batt, IGSW when they are needed.
There is voltage on the supply (Black-Or) to the coil packs when i have ignition but there is no spark if i pull number one plug and leave it on the cam cover (with metal touching).
The FP relay has never pulled in (not heard or felt the click) when cranking but i am a little unsure as to the logic the ECU uses to pull it in.
The fuel feed line to the engine is still dry when i checked, this wasn't connected when i first got the car... it has half a tank in it according to gauge.
Main EFI and Circuit opening relay are clicking merrily.

I have fitted a CAS but i am pretty certain that went in ok.

Can anyone point me towards some more tests i can do, i am reasonably electrically savvy but only have basic Mutlimeter until i got back to work next Tuesday.
I live in WA (sor) if anyone is bored and wants to 'play cars'.... my wife's terminology.

At this stage there is lots on this car that is a little unfinished, like IC piping and exhaust but i would like it to fire before i put any real effort to make it drive-able.
I have dodged the airflow meter onto the main throttle body crossover pipe to run it NA to get it to start.
The main thing i want to see is a non-smoking engine and turbs, then I will be motivated.

    Thanks heaps
    Shane.

Do you have power to the igniter and is the igniter earthed properly?

Thanks for the reply, just ran out to the garage and checked.
The Blk-Or to the igniter is at +12 volts when the ignitions on.

How should the thing be grounded, its bolted down but there are no specific ground wires for it according to the drawings i have been using up to now?
    Cheers.

It just grounds through the case itself mate so as long as it's bolted down it should be fine.

May need to scope the cas wires and make sure it's working mate.

    Whereabouts SOR are you?

    Hi All,

Progress report, i have spark for a short time and fuel on my garage floor.
Thankfully these did not occur in the same location.
Both of these are a good thing, as they mean i have found my wiring fault.
I have a leak at the body to engine fuel union so i only got to crank it for about 5 seconds.
I did see spark on number one plug whilst it was sitting on the cam cover.

Turns out my mate who dodged the 4 pin plugs for the main relay had not connected the B-R right which is the feed for FP etc.
The weird thing was the ground for the relay coil was swapped but there was just enough to pull the relay in and let me hear it click.

Stoked but now i need the right fuel union and washer gaskets as the 1G one doesnt fit correctly.

    Thanks.
