Default aristo a340e into jza80 supra - output shaft differences

Ok so I am in the process of replacing an a340e in a jza80 supra with one from an aristo as i thought they were essentially the same gearbox...

when it comes to the output side of things there is a difference...
    jza80 is a 4 bolt flange
aristo has a 3 prong donut attachment with a central shaft that sticks out about 40mm

i have undone the 30mm nut on each and have been able to remove the 3 prong bit from the aristo box and replace with the jza80 4 bolt flange... but the aristo one still has the 40mm central shaft and i cannot figure out how to unbolt it or removed it.

if i unbolt the rear housing will this shaft come out and i just have to swap the shaft over (i seem to recall it being much more complicated then that though)

otherwise would there be any reason why i couldnt just grab the grinder and cut off the central shaft? the box wont be going back into an aristo...

Sounds good to me make sure the seal diameters are the same before you assemble
Shafts can be swapped all you have to do is dismantle the transmission

yeah good point i didnt think about if there could be a difference in rear seal sizes... i have both boxes so in theory can just swap it over if its going to need it... probably swap the whole rear housing over in order to prevent damaging a seal when removing it...

so here for everyone elses reference is the aristo output and the red circle is the problem i wish to remove

cutting it does sound like the quickest and easiest solution but just seems so dodgy
