Rack and pinion conversion on KE55

Anyone done this? Any pics or info? Ive spent a couple of hours searching and have come to the conclusion that i will use (very early on may i add so havnt measured anything as yet):

1.Ke70 crossmember
2. Ke 70 steering column etc
3 S13 Power steer rack
4 S13 PS pump
and who knows what else i need at this stage.
I will get pics and keep you guys posted but any and all info would be greatly appreciated

why S13 rack? is it same width as the KE70 rack?

the main important dimension (amongst the many) is the the offset from the strut axis to the steerign arm pivot, is maintained between the LCA pivot and the ends of the steering rack..... roughly... (for bump steer poiposes....)

how do those rack lengths compare?

I'm yet to double check all that but it is a very good point. Afaik the s13 and ke 70 are interchangeable and was using the s13 due to the power steer

Hey all.
Really want to put the rack and pinion setup on my Ke35 Coupe. I'm Told the rack has to be shortened for correct bump steer and i've got alot out of the "KE20/25 Rack and pinion conversion guide" Thread Does anyone have a spec on by how much? Or know of a place in melb (bayside area pref) that will do it and for about how much?

TIMITAMS - How does it steer over bumps?
