Ra28 coilovers

Hi all probably a silly question but will a set of coilovers made for an ae86 fit into an ra28? just I've been searching and people do s13 coilovers into both cars so wondering how interchangeable the parts made for either car are (suspension wise)

Hi Rhys

Any coil over kit that suits a 2 inch diameter strut tube. TA-22, RA-23/28 and RA40 use an imperial sized tube of 2 inch OD. I also understand that the AE-86 has the same imperial sized tube.

Coil over kits can be made and listed as 2 inch or 51 or 52 or 53mm. 51mm is closest metric suitable.

Tube size is the unpainted size and not mistaken for measuring with the paint which could give you 52mm or more.

Just keep in mind that the AE86 strut is smaller than the RA series. Smaller bearings, smaller shocks, etc. Use Corona RT132/XT130, as these run the larger shocks and bearings like the RA23/28 celicas.
