    Default rep rewards/loss's

i treid the FAQ and searching (probably wasnt wording it right) but just curious on the levels of reputation

ie...when you get to 30 your allowed to post an avatar, are there other benfits beyond that (besides the amount of rep you can give) and what about neg reps...whats happens once your on 0 or minus territory.

just wondering if there's a timeline style graphy showing what happens to you at differnt levels/amounts of reputation

    Hi,

If you're on 0 or less rep points you can still give plus or minus rep, but nothing will happen to the person you are giving the rep to 'cos basically your rep is 0.

If you go -ve too far you'll probably be banned for being a nuisance and annoying people.

I've walked through the shadow of negative rep and lived to tell the tale.

It's no fun when people rag on you about stuff and then take it out on your rep rating cos it makes you look bad even when the thing they're ragging about probably isn't of such major consequence.

I reckon rep is a good idea but it needs to be taken with a grain of salt. It's not hard to rock the boat on a website dedicated to a particular topic, particularly when you're new. That's why mods, when they're good, will step in and adjudicate over a topic independent of the rep status of individuals. At the end of the day, whatever the management says, goes.

Sorry guys, couldn't help commenting in this thread...

you keep digging your whole deeper and deeper, if you want to question rep PM admin, joshtix, or mos(im not sure if mods can alter rep) but all the comments ive seen you make have warranted neg rep to some extent, and it seems that a lot of other people have thought the same

sorry this thread is about rep giving and taking, not me. If you have something to say specifically to me, then send a PM.

currently, you get avatar and sellign status at 30... soon to be higher.

your rep power goes up 1 per 100.

    thats it.

if you go below 10? you lose repping power... or it goes to zero.

if you go below, you are doing something wrong and should go to fast fours or boost cruisin

hava - check the faqs - it's all in there (you get more rep power for what rep you're on, and how many posts you've made)

rep power (how many rep points you give when repping) is also affected by:
    - your time on the forums since joining (annual +1 rep power)
    - number of reffered users (see FAQ for explanation)
    - number of posts (posts only counted in tech + general car talk, see FAQ)
    - your rep points (again, see FAQ)

i think i've got it all covered there
