Default Size of CV shaft bolts?

    Hey all,

I'm about to do a conversion in me AE82, and I need to know the size of the CV shaft nut.

The "hub nuts" (the massive nut that holds the outer cv driveshaft spline into the hub) are a 30mm nut.

You are going to need a deep 30mm impact socket, and a breaker bar... or a WST-002...

I'm almost too scared to ask, but what is the WST-001 ?

Also ensure that you have a decent breaker bar, and a decent "prop" if you are doing it by bracing against the wheel studs. On my GZE halfcut we snapped two wheel studs, and a breaker bar trying to get the drivers side nut off. Ended up having to take it off with a 1" rattlegun.

A good thick pole so you can put the wrench on them & someone to step on the brakes so that it won't move. O and lots of WD40 & maybe even a blow torch might be needed.

im always a fan of cracking the but before pulling aything apart. pop the centre cap off your wheel get someone to jumpo on the breaks and crack the nut this way as opposed to trying to stop it turning by chocking the wheel studs

edit: ph and done whilst the wheel is stgill sitting on the ground so it dosent spin.
