Sorry for the short notice on this thread but i haven't had net access for a few weeks.
Enough of the apologies (because it was listed in the yearly calender anyway!)
Toymods Social Pool Comp!
When: Friday 12th May @ 8pm
Where: Cue Time Unit 33/ 7 Carrington Rd, Castle Hill (Just off Victoria Ave).
What: Shooting pool, it's a simple concept.
Why: It's about time we had the chance to catch up, chat and have a laugh whilst not standing around our cars!
Cost: $12 per hour of play per table.
Almost looks like the Hoff in action.
Here's what they have to say about themselves:
This leaves us the option to continue on to the Castle Hill RSL afterwards or there may be another option of meeting up to catch a quick bite to eat before hand.Cuetime is a top-class pool hall located in Castle Hill, Sydney. Eight new American Professional tables (9ft x 4.5ft) are available, along with six English pool tables (8ft x 4ft). We also have a new full-sized snooker table available for hire.
No alcohol is permitted on the premises, so you can be assured of a friendly environment. The reasonable rates allow for a fun and inexpensive time playing the fantastic game of pool. Coaching is also available.
The rules of 8-ball and 9-ball are posted on the premises, and the staff of Cuetime are always happy to answer your pool-related questions. Official rules of pool and snooker are also on this website.
Good cues are available and plentiful, and each table has its own mechanical bridge. The tables and balls are cleaned several times each week.
A modern CD juke-box is also on site, so you can listen to great music while playing pool and talking with friends. There are also many comfortable couches and chairs.
Leave me some feedback and i'll update this information after they open at midday.

Time is priceless yet it costs us nothing. You can do anything you want with it but you can't own it.You can spend it but you can't keep it.And once you've lost it, there is no getting it back, it's just gone."
oh dammit - if only I had more notice I'd take you up on that offer in a game of doubles.
personally I suck at pool most of the time, but I do know the u19 australian champion
another thought - does someone want to bring an esky and a case, so between games we can pop out for a beer or 2?
haha great minds think alike, exactly what i was going to do.Originally Posted by Draven

UPDATE TIME!!
The costing is actually per hour per table. I have rung and said we will take 2 possibly 3 tables for around 3 hrs.
Those who passed year 2 maths will know that this means $108 for the 3 tables for the 3 hours. To further that, if we get 10 guys then its $10.80 each or 20 guys and its $5.40.
If more people turn up, theres the option to go more tables again.
So guys, need a show of hands for who will be there so i can get back to them on thursday with a rough idea of how many tables will be needed.
I may have the option to negotiate a better deal if we can confirm numbers and inform them of how many tables we will want and how long for.
I'm going to say budget $20 for the evening and they are cool with us ordering in pizza and consuming it whilst shooting pool.
Good times.
