Post Imports101 MaxAction Second Series 2006

    Hi guys,

Well, following-on from the previous poll, the name of the team entering the MaxAction series running over 6 months from July will be OST (Old Skool Toys).

For those of you that were (or are now) interested in joining me to form an OST team in the next MaxAction series starting in July 2006, the entry form is now available. I'm about to send mine off (via email). As mentioned before, you'll need a CAMS license, with some details in the previous Motorkhana thread (happy to answer questions too). You can get your entry form in and pay a bit closer to the start of the series if you don't have the money now (about $378 for the whole series), but it is important to get your form in to reserve your spot as it gets booked quickly.

I'm planning on entering the Sunday PM session, so let me know if this suits you, or whether the AM session would be better. But don't leave it too long, as I'll send my form off in the next few days.

Also, if you don't want to enter the whole series, but one or two events, that's cool too. Basically, you'll compete as an individual, but you can also say you're part of the OST team, and any points you get work towards our team total, so don't be put off if you don't want to do all 6 rounds. Our aim is to have 4 cars in each event, even if they are different people.

At this stage, I'm pretty sure there will be the following in our team:

    Gene - 1974 TA22 Celica turbo
    Mitch.T - RA23 Celica supercharged
    Matty - MR2?

With a few others indicating they may be interested such as Rob in his Supra, perhaps another couple of Celica drivers. Anyway, hope this sparks your interest, and you join in the fun if you're keen.

Drop me a line if you want to be in, so I know.

And get your CAMS and entries forms in. I've attached the entry form for the second series. The idea is that you complete it in Excel, and email it to the address on the form. Don't worry about the class/handicap fields, they will be worked-out for you.

Let's show a good Toyota presence

Question Re: Imports101 MaxAction Second Series 2006

    Eldar,

If you want, you could enter the events after your return (i.e. after August) if you want to have a run. As I said, people don't have to enter all 6 rounds if they can't make them.

If you can/do join us for some of the later rounds, that would be cool.

    No problem Matty.

They let you change cars, so I'm sure you can run the Supra at least once, and then run the MR2 if it suits.

Are you happy with Sunday PM sessions? And, even if you need time to organise the CAMS license, don't leave it too late to get the MaxAction entry form in.

OK, I've put my entry form in, and so has Mitch.T for all 6 Sunday PM sessions.

Apparently, you've got until the 25th of June to get the Early Bird discount of $10 per round. Even if you put the forms in now, Norbert (the organiser) won't take the money out until around the 25th anyway. After that, you pay the $73 per round instead of $63.

So, that's 2 confirmed and entered:

    Gene - TA22 1600cc turbo
    Mitch.T - RA23 supercharged 6 cyl

    Confirmed, not yet entered:

Matty - Supra and/or MR2 (so people know, you can use different cars if you like).

    Possibilities:
    Ian: 1st gen Celica
Stepho: 1st gen Celica - probably not entering all rounds, but may do some.
    Rob: Supra?

So, if you're interested let us know. Should be fun.

    Gene,
I have another possible starter, Thomas in a RA28 with a warm 2TG, in the process of building up.
    Cheers,

Gene, I'd consider entering under your team format, if you are desperate for numbers. My main concern is being in Perth for the dates the events are run on - I'm not definate for any day or date due to work. Car is ready to rock, though I'd be want (and be quite happy) to buy a new set of R comps for the series.

    No problems Clint,

Feel free to enter any round as you see fit. And when you come along, you'll get your individual results, but if you tell them you're with the OST team, your results also go towards the team result.

Be good to have you along sometime and catch-up.

Post Re: Imports101 MaxAction Second Series 2006

Update on OST Team Motorkhana entrants for series starting in July:

    Confirmed and entered:
    Gene - TA22 Celica 1600cc turbo
    Mitch.T - RA23 Celica supercharged 6 cyl
Luke - RA40 Celica (Rally scheme) with 18RC
Matty - Supra/MR2 (will start in the Supra)
Ian: TA22 Celica with 12A Rotary

    Confirmed, not yet entered:
    Andrew - Nissan Skyline
OK, not a Toyota so won't be part of the OST team as such, but he's keen to compete and will "hang-out" with the OST crew.

    Possibilities/"Reserves":
Stepho: 1st gen Celica - probably not entering all rounds, but may do some.
Thomas: building-up an RA28 Celica, can't do all rounds, but may do some.
Wayno: later gen Celica (dependant on if car is ready, etc.)
Clint: may enter some events depending on whether he's in town.
    Adam: AW11 MR2

So, if all the "confirmed" are in, and some of the "possibles" come through we shouldn't have too much trouble with the 4 cars per round for the team. And should make for a nice gathering of Toyotas and Celicas too

Anyone else keen on joining in the action/fun, let me know.

    Gene

Im still in for sure Gene, just sent you an email.
Probably start out using the supra, the MR2 sticks to the road good but doesnt really have the power of the supra........ might swap round and try MR2 after a few goes in the Supra though.

    Cheers
