stop blinking?
does it happen on any other VB forums? (or whatever they are..)
Hi,
I got a new monitor this evening and have it all connected and it works great except on Toymods.
When I move the mouse over the tab buttons at the top (ie Home, Forums, Membership, etc) the page flashes. Maybe it's reloading.. I'm not sure.
Also when it loads a page it flashes until all images are loaded. Then when I up and down the page it flashes. When i stop scrolling it's fine. It's rather annoying and the G2S images at the top and bottom flash as they load.
I don't get this problem with over websites, but then again I didn't get it with the old monitor. So not sure what the issue is.
Any ideas?

Sounds like how it'd behave with no videocard drivers installed. You just changed the monitor and not the card?

Hi,
Yes, I just changed the monitor, and kept the video card.
I changed the vid card some months ago as the original one died. I bought an ATI/Radeon 5750 card, which supported a higher resolution than the old card (GTX 8800) and also higher res than the old monitor.
The old monitor could do 1920 x 1200 and the new one does 2560 x 1440. All I did was plug in the new monitor, the system recognised it, and the system set the resolution to 2560 x 1440 automatically.
I changed the res to 1920 x 1200, like the old one, to see if it made a difference in the blinking/flasing of the screen on these forums, but it was the same.
If it blinked/flashed on everything then I'd be looking at new drivers, but it only does it on these forums. Saying that, I did download the latest monitor drivers (from Dell) but I had the latest ones anyway (came with a CD with the monitor). I also upgraded the latest ATI drivers for the card last night, which made no diff.
It has me perplexed.

That said, i think it could be the weird little gradient that Toymods has everywhere:

Hi,
Thanks guys.
I fired up the beast and it's all fine now. It was doing some updates last night befire I shut it down, so maybe there was a fix in there?
Dunno, but it's now working properly so I'll not play with it.
Anyway, in worse case I can always put on my panties and use my Mac.
It's a beautiful screen and the colours are awesome. I found out it is used by photographers for true colours and all that jazz. I must upgrade my special camera so my special pics have better resolution to suit this monitor.

I had the same problem too until I downloaded and installed the latest drivers for my video card.
I had changed video cards but did not download the driver for the new card.
Haha video card is on the way out tonight, got purple and green vomit all over my screen!
But, as vivioman said - not refreshing properly, so time for new drivers!
Heh, you arnt the only one.. This happened to mine last week:

Haha my video card must be melting back together, its slowly coming good. I can almost read the screen without zooming in now.
