1ggte into RA65

Hello all

I am new to the forum, & own a Celica RA65

I am planning to put a1ggte into it, wondering whether anyone can guide me as to where i could get one (preferably Melbourne area or VIC)...

I currently have a quote of $1200 from SSS Auto in Sydney, but they will not have any in until April, or so I am told.

I want to get the project underway as soon as possible, so if anyone could guide me to a reputable importer or somewhere that might have a 1g in VIC (preferably) that would be great.

Also can someone tell me whether I need a front sump, mid-rear sump, etc.... to go into an RA65??

for that price @ SSS Automotive you might as well get a 1jz-gte off them, they are pricy for some older motors but you can get newer / same amount of work involved engines for almost near what u were quoted. wouldnt go any other way, IF thats where you go.

other than that.. seems like people chuck 1g-gte's out of a GA70's best bet eyeing some Supra forums local to you (supraforums vic google). you would be in luck soon enough!

Yeah look the main reason I want to go a 1G is because it will bolt straight up to the current gearbox in the car & would probably mean minimum conversion hassles....

it wont, i'm pretty sure you'll need a manual GA70 bellhousing to fit this motor to your box.

Ok - i'm only going off what i've been told so far -

how hard is it to get hold of a GA70 bell housing and roughly what would it cost???

prop try on supra forums like ivan said, might get lucky, anywhere from 100 to 250 i would think.
As a reference brand new 2jzge to W series are $500.
