    Default injector adaptors

i have some 1000cc rochestor injectors id like to put on my 4a, they are 14mm tops and my 4age has 11mm o-rings in the fuel rail. now im sure ive seen adaptors before, but im not sure if anyone in australia stocks them. does anyone have any ideas were i might get such a thing?

    cheers,

get rail machines to suit the larger injectors? then have same workshop make up some sleeves (with suitable treatment around the lip) that reduce the socket's ID to 11mm so you can refit the Denso (11mm) as required?

edit: have you tried Powerflow or EFIHardware?

my first thought was to machine the rail, but it will leave next to no material left...... i can make the fitting into the manifold work. id rather not have to pay for custom machining of a socket type convertor, i just thought that maybe someone had come across a similar product.

checked both of those sites but nothing that really suits. efihardware has somthing kinda like what im after but it is designed to convert both 14mm to 11mm and 48mm in length to 60mm so the while the injectors would fit in the rail it would stack the whole lot up much higher.

might be less hassle (in the long run) to have different rails for the different injectors and have both made up with matching inlet/outlet fittings?

My injectors were originally 14mm, they were lathed down to suit the 11mm* rail

It dont work the other way, you'll end up with extra height in the injector and needing to run spacers of fuel rail + might not even fit.

Just find someone with a lathe n turn the neck of the injector down

Beside the fact that i don't think anyone makes 11mm inj to 14mm rail adapters, im pretty certain that short of some custom made adapters as well as the spacing of the fuel rail, the smarter option here will be to have the neck turned down, get in touch with injectorsonline if you have no one who can do it and they will turn them down for you.
