    Default jza70 boost cut

hey guys, i have a 1jz swapped ma70, it has twin dumps and full 3 inch back, front mount and no boost controller, it hits boost cut very harshly when cold, and slightly boost cuts when warm but only in the high rpm range, i disconnected the boost sensor and since hasnt boost cut as harshly, it hasnt been cold, yet but has anyone done this?, is there any problems i could cause doing this?

i also have a greddy emanage ultimate not hooked up, ready to get tuned i know this will fix the problem, i just need cash first haha

also is there any other ways of getting around boost cut?

    cheers, daniel

drive it normally until you install the emanage.

disconnecting the boost sensor (map sensor) is not a good idea

usually doing this makes the car run poorly...

put a restrictor in your exhaust to stop it from boost spiking and hitting boost cut would be my cheap way of fixing your problem...

what boost is the car making? guessing 15psi at least if you are hitting boost cut...

on a cold day it will go to 16 at 3-4krpm it hits 15 just on a warm day, i was thinking of putting a 2-1/2 gasket in the exhaust somwhere.

it hasnt run rough or thrown an engine code on the dash yet

being a conversion it might not have the check light connected...

not sure if boost cut actually throws a CEL either.. cant recall

another way you could get around the issue is to drive not on WOT and regulate boost with your right foot

If you want to remove boost cut on the cheap, grab a Jaycar FCD, but because the MAP Sensor is also the Boost sensor on a 1JZ you have the potential to fck things up a bit.

Pop in a restrictor until you can get the ECU in and tuned, or just live with it and drive slower.

Boost cut comes in at 1 BAR btw which is about 15.5 or so PSI.

the turbos are flowing enough to warrant a fcd or some kind of interceptor.

he would of disconnected the boost gauge map sensor, not the ECU map sensor... If he had of disconnected the ecu map sensor the car would be undrivable.

Therefor your comment "and since hasnt boost cut as harshly" would be nothing but placebo...
