a quick google search suggests that it was the prior 3F-E motor that had MFI and the 1FZ-FE always had SFI. There was an update to the 1FZ (circa 2000) where they changed from a dizzi to waste-spark ignition and also from MAF to MAP sensors.
I am contemplating converting my 1997 FZJ80 to injected LPG but firstly I need to know whether the type of fuel injection it has is sequential or multi-point. Can anyone tell me what year Toyota switched from MPFI to SFI and if my model is SFI?
It's a 1997 FZJ80 1FZ-FE 4.5l petrol
