Yes a flywheel from a 20V will fit your 16V
Just quickly as i assume this should be common knowlegde.
Will a 20 valve silver top flywheel (and therefore clutch) fit on a ealier model 4age (smallport)
I was under the impression that the crank hole patterns were the same for the big and small port engines, but could be wrong.
Its for a rwd car running a t50
Thanks Alex

Awsome, thanks heaps
Yes, just to confirm again for you roadrunner, bigport has 6 bolts to attach flywheel and smallport and 20v uses 8 bolts.
4ACs and 7AFE run 6 bolt flywheels
Exactly right, all my bigports are eight bolt and every bigport I've ever seen has eight bolt, only reference to a 6 bolt crank in a 4age I have ever come across is a reference Billzilla makes on his page about their being a very early six bolt 4age. I've never come across one and I don't know of anyone who has ever sighted one either.
What you do need to be aware of is that some of the larger flywheel sizes such as gze ones struggle to fit in the RWD T50 bellhousings.
Silvertop should be a 215mm flywheel afaik so should fit, I play with fwd mostly so can anyone confirm?

I have a blacktop flywheel in my AE86 so they do fit the T50 and coming from a smallport the clutch should be the 212mm so it can be reused
So, just one other question, Are the flywheels from a small port and a 20 valve the same, or do they have minor differences??
Thanks all
Silvertop has a lighter flywheel than a smallport. They're considered cheap upgrades if you don't wanna shell out for a fully lightened flywheel.
Ace link! Rep!
ahhhh righto....SG
So to confirm sam anything larger than the 215 (sorry its FWD nomenclature for me) wont fit a T50 bellhousing?
