I still have to build a base/box for it, but it should allow me to do port matching (volume, velocity, and pressure).

    Thumbs up Re: Flowbench

Excellent - volume, velocity, and pressure!

I like the effort you're going to Old Skewl.

    You can't go wrong now

So I take it your 4afe head is first in line to be tested?

PS. Can you do a step by step with photo's on how to set up flow bench?

    Cheers Grega.

Old Skewl, I'm a bit confused.. I thought you didn't have the coin for a GE head but this kit looks like it costs a bit.

Either way it's a fantastic investment & a good thing to get into.

I have @ least 4 G heads... what I don't have coin for is a proper management system.... THAT is why I'm keeping all the 4AFE stuff (for now) besides, I can't afford the downtime while I sort out the management.

I DID get it with the pitot tube addition

edit.... also, in my humble opinion, the F head is a better match for the SC12, then the G head.... so when/if I do go down that road.....

A friend and I went out today and did some shopping/buying..... We ended up utilizing baker rack components. This is it in its first mock up. The flowbench parts are there for basic placement only... nothing as yet is installed.

The plan as of now is to affix the large tube to the white melamine undersheet. The concave top will get a shaped to fit top piece of melamine with the bore adapter going through all pieces, and hardware holding all 5 layers (melamine plate with tube, rubber layer, table layer, rubber layer, melamine top layer)

This design will allow me to have this portible and even collapsible!!

The plastic top has a load rating of 300#s

    Today....

I went and bought a hole cutter, and placed the flowbench off center this will allow me a bit more stability if I choose to do a straight 6 head (JZ anyone )

As well as allows me to keep the strength of the lower rack by NOT having to remove the main structural cross bar seen under the finished table top below

There is still the bore adapter(seen in the 1st photo, of the 1st post - upper right/center) to consider and I have a plan for that, and future bore adapters.

I will have additional 1/2" plastic cutting board sections cut to fit the particular shape of the table top (note the cropped corners) Each new bore adapter will get a new 1/2" sheet.

Here is my "finished", fully portable(wheeled, as well as under 60#s), and collapsible flowbench

Now I have to find a reversible 5hp shop vac

what pressure drop will a 5hp vac be able to do?

    5hp = 3700W... so you need a 40amp power socket?
